Bonds in general

Bonding is recognised by the UK travel industry regulatory authorities as an effective means of providing consumer protection.

There are a number of specialist bond underwriters issuing travel bonds, and our policy is to obtain the most appropriate quotation for the risk. For the larger bonds we will often organise a syndicate of insurers to share the risk.

We are able to provide quotations for the following bonds:

  • ATOL Bonds – Required by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

  • ABTA Bonds – Both Retail Agents and Tour Operator Bonds

  • IATA Bonds – Required to protect payments under BSP

  • ABTOT Bonds – Package Holiday Protection

  • Coach Company Bonds – For members of the Bonded Coach Holiday (BCH) section of the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT)

  • Irish Bonds – Provided for RoI Tour Operators and Travel Agents

  • Miscellaneous Bonds and Guarantees – Airline, Rail, Ferry, and National Express, etc.

  • Security Bonds – As a last resort, we can also provide all of the above bonds against security, whether it be cash, a letter of credit, or, where time permits, a charge against a property.

  • Supplier Failure Guarantees
